High School Missionaries

Saint Philip Parish announces it’s Second Mission Group for high school students!
April 14 – 21, 2012 ~ Spring Vacation
A mission trip is being planned through MUSTARD SEED COMMUNITIES to “Hogar Belen” in Diriamba and Managua, Nicaragua. Along with a visit to a poor community in La Chureca near Managua, Nicaragua. This trip is being led by Fr. Rodrigues. Young men and woman from Saint Philip Parish are being invited to reach out to many people in need in order that they grew closer to God through the poorest of the poor by working with children and young adults with disabilities; ages 2 to 22 years old. This trip is open to all high school Juniors and Seniors from Saint Philip Church.

The students and chaperones on this mission trip will experience an opportunity like no other. Working with the children of the Mustard Seed Community is a life changing event! This experience is totally safe and secure. The Mustard Seed Community has been providing mission experiences for many years. Each mission group is accompanied at all times by a driver and local members of the Mustardseed Community thus providing for a very safe and spirit filled experience. Other local Parishes have also enjoyed this very special and unique way of service.
God is so good to us in many ways, here in America and especially in Rhode Island. This mission trip is the response to the call that God has placed on all our hearts to serve the poor with love.
