Children’s Liturgy of the Word

The purpose of the Children’s Liturgy of the Word is to enrich our children’s liturgical experience of God’s presence in the ritual proclamation of the Word.
It emphasizes liturgical in contrast to catechetical or “church school” experience
The children are actually attending Mass: they are experiencing the Liturgy of the Word in terms and experiences that are understandable to them.
At the Liturgy of the Eucharist they return to their families.
They hear the same readings proclaimed at Mass as their families, but written in a style for them to better understand.
Liturgy of the Word is offered on Sunday morning’s at 9:00 a.m.
